Gopher Sport, a leading supplier of sports, PE, and fitness equipment, partnered with us to modernize their Magento 2 storefront with a sharp focus on performance, accessibility, and maintainability. The project centered on adopting the Hyvä Theme, an ultra-fast frontend alternative to Magento’s traditional Luma theme, and later implementing Hyvä Checkout for a streamlined user experience.

Future-proof Development
Rebuilding the frontend using Hyvä Theme on this project, allowed us to drastically simplify the tech stack by eliminating heavy JavaScript libraries and replacing them with Alpine.js and Tailwind CSS. This reduced complexity, improved maintainability, and delivered a lightning-fast user experience.
To address friction in the checkout process, we integrated Hyvä Checkout. Its minimalist and responsive design significantly improved the user journey—especially on mobile devices.
As part of the scaling strategy, we developed custom variations of the Hyvä Theme for Gopher Sport’s other brands and domains, maintaining brand consistency while leveraging shared components.
